About

— From The Creator, Puja —

A few years ago, when I lived in LA, I was in a writer's group with several emerging artists of color.
One of them was Issa Rae.

She had just launched her own web series and encouraged me to write about my Indian family and a massive break-up I was recovering from.

I decided to produce the project in my hometown, Chicago, and "Geeta's Guide To Moving On" was born.

The show was an official selection of the 2016 New York Television Festival and the 2017 Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival.

It was in final consideration for the Sundance Youtube New Voices Lab.

The first 3 episodes are online, distributed by Open TV and on Youtube.

We are thrilled to partner with Open TV again, to release the full Season One, a collection of 12 episodes that are each 6-7 minutes long. That's about 84 minutes of independently produced content!

We are excited to share this work with you and contribute a new and diverse voice to the fabric of American storytelling.

Thank you for your interest in the history of this project.

XOXO
Puja
